General Terms of Sale

1. Purpose

These General Terms of Sale govern the sale of handmade candles created and hand-decorated by Marie Jardel, sole trader operating under the Maison Candâme brand. Any order implies full acceptance of these terms.

3. Products and photographs

The candles offered by Marie Jardel are made and hand-painted by craft. As each piece is handmade, slight variations in tint, shape or decoration may appear, forming part of the unique character of each creation.

The photographs shown on the site are provided for guidance only and do not constitute a contractual commitment as to the exact appearance of the products.The candles shown are actual creations by Maison Candâme. However, some photographs may feature these creations within settings or environments generated or composed using artificial intelligence tools, in order to illustrate possibilities for styling, customization, or pairing with various themes. The product ordered remains a handcrafted creation by Maison Candâme, made according to the specifications agreed upon with the customer.

4. Order

Orders are placed via the site's contact form or through direct exchange with the client. After discussing the project (quantity, customisation, colours, timeframe), a quote is sent to the client. The order is considered definitively confirmed once the quote is accepted and the deposit received. Any validation of a project or visual by the client constitutes definitive agreement on the requested customisation.

Shipping is free. Marie Jardel reserves the right to change prices at any time; products are invoiced at the rate in force at the time the order is confirmed.

6. Payment terms

A deposit of 30% of the total amount is required to confirm the order. Payment is made by bank transfer. Production begins upon receipt of this deposit. The remaining balance (70%) must be settled before the order is shipped. The deposit paid confirms the client's commitment and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

Orders are shipped to the address indicated by the client. Creations are sent by parcel and do not include on-site installation. Marie Jardel takes the utmost care with packaging to protect the products during transport. The client is invited to check the condition of the parcel on receipt. Marie Jardel cannot be held responsible for delays or damage caused by the carrier.

9. Personalised products

As the candles are made to measure at the client's request, they cannot be taken back or exchanged, except in the event of a proven defect.

10. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with article L221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to personalised products made at the client's request. Only collection models (non-personalised), as shown on the site, may be returned within 14 days of receipt.

11. Intellectual property

All creations, visuals, texts and content on the Maison Candâme site are protected by intellectual property law. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, without prior authorisation is prohibited.

12. Use of creations

Marie Jardel reserves the right to use photographs of the creations for communication purposes (website, social media), unless the client requests otherwise.

13. Personal data

Information collected when placing orders is used only to manage the commercial relationship. It is neither resold nor passed on to third parties.

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought before any legal action.
